Resto Kubo Kitchen is a proposed full service restaurant located in Hayward, the “Heart of the Bay” in Alameda County.
The restaurant will feature a full course menu, which consists of appetizers, entrees and desserts that are influenced by authentic Filipino cuisine and are considered by many Filipinos as feel good “comfort food”.
Filipinos commonly use the term Resto as a casual and informal way of shortening the word Restaurant.
The term Kubo means Hut.
Made mostly out of bamboo and Anahaw leaves, a hut is an essential icon and reference to the Filipino culture. A hut is a traditional house used in the Philippines to shelter its native and indigenous families before the Spaniards arrived.

In addition to this popular dish, the restaurant will also include a Farmers Market menu. Hayward’s Farmers Market is within a close proximity to the proposed location of the restaurant.
